본 강의의 주된 목적은 경제현상을 이해하고 분석하는 데 필요한 기본 지식을 제공하는 것에 있다. 본 강좌는 크게 미시경제부분과 거시경제부분으로 구분하여 진행한다. 미시경제부분에서는 소비자와 기업들의 선택과 활동을 이해하기 위한 이론과 이들이 거래하는 시장구조에 대해서 논의한다. 거시경제부분에서는 인플레이션, 실업, 국제수지 등에 대해서 살펴본다. 또한 정부의 재정정책, 통화정책 및 환율정책에 대해서도 논의한다.

The main aim of this course is to provide a basic understanding of Economics. The first part of the course will cover micro economics topics such as the theory of households making consumption, the theory of firms making input choices and output decisions and different types of market structures that these firms operate in. The second part of the course will cover macro economics topics such as inflation, unemployment, balance of payments. Fiscal, monetary and exchange rate policy will also be examined.

This course introduces approaches to major societal issues using quantitative tools and modeling-based thinking. Its primary aim is to develop the ability to formalize real-world decision problems, clarify relationships and constraints among key variables, and interpret outcomes through the lenses of sensitivity analysis and stock？flow dynamics. Classes proceed in the sequence of concept exposition → brief worked examples → application to real cases, and assessment emphasizes clarity of problem-solving processes, the presentation of quantitative evidence, and explanatory rigor.

세계경제는 고대부터 근대까지 유럽대륙을 중심으로 발전해오면서 여러가지 경제환경의 변화와 맞물려 작동되고 있다. 그러나 현대에는 세계대전과 냉전체제의 종식 및 산업기술의 혁명으로 경제환경은 또 다른 국면을 맞이했다. 본 강좌는 주로 근대와 현대를 다루는데 제2차세계대전을 기준으로 이전과 이후로 전반부에서는 세계경제발전과 성장의 토대가 되는 무역정책과 산업혁명,자본주의 그리고 제1차 세계대전과 대공황의 내용으로 구성했다. 후반부는 세계경제 재건과 교역, 지역경제와 경제통합, 경제성장과 경제구조의 변화 마지막으로 금융 환경의 변화로 화폐제도와 금융위기 범주로 강의한다.

경제학에서 필요로 하는 계량경제학의 기초적 소양을 학습하는 것을 교과의 주요 목표로 한다. 이를 위해 필요한 자료의 수집 및 사용 방법과 통계적 방법론을 이해하고, 경제학에서 제시하는 가설을 검정하거나 역으로 이를 제시하기 위한 통계적 방법론의 기초를 확립한다. 특히, 고전선형모형의 가정, 추정, 검정, 적합도 등을 이해하고 이에 대한 응용력을 배양한다. 학생은 고전선형회귀모형의 기초 이론과 응용을 이해한다.

The main goal of the course is to learn the basic skills of econometrics that economics requires. For this purpose, the class is designed to understand how to collect and use data and statistical methodologies necessary and establish the basis of statistical methodologies to test or vice versa hypotheses suggested by economics. In particular, we will understand the assumptions, estimates, tests, and goodness-of-fits of the classical linear model and develop their applications. The student understands the basic theory and application of the classical linear regression model.

본 강좌에서는 총론적으로 한국경제의 발전과정을 살펴보고, 각론적으로 분야별 및 산업별 현황 등을 공부하게 될것이다. 이를 통하여 한국경제에 대하여 관심을 갖고 있는 학생들에게 한국경제의 흐름과 경제 전반에 대한 이해의 폭을 넓히고자 한다.

This focuses on the discussion of such problems as business concentrations and oligopolistic market structures, agarian disintegrations, chronic trade deficits, pathic consumption patterns, declining workmanship, diffusive entrepreneurship etc. These problems are discussed in an historical perspective.

The course covers topics such as economic growth & trade and international movement of inputs as well as pure trade theory, from traditional comparative advantage theory to recent new trade theory, regarding causes, patterns and benefits of trade.

This course studies the supply curve to see how firms choose their production levels to maximize profits, culminating in the model of perfect competition. We will look at market failures such as imperfect competition (monopoly, oligopoly), externalities and asymmetric information.

거시경제학에 기초하여 경제성장모형의 기초를 학습한다. 솔로우 성장모형을 통해 경제의 장기성장을 설명하고 이를 통해 시간의 흐름에 따른 국가별 소득 차이를 이해한다. 경제가 장기적으로 어떻게 작동하는지 고찰한 후, 경제의 단기순환(경기변동)에 대한 이론에 대해 학습한다. 단기적인 변동을 설명하기 위해 총공급 및 총수요 모형을 학습하고 이를 토대로 경제변동의 동태모형을 이용하여 경제정책의 효과를 평가/예측하는데 초점을 맞춘다.

The first part of the course will focues on understanding the process of long-run economic growth, which determines the trend over time in income per capita. The second part of course will study the aggregate supply and the short-run tradeoff between inflation and unemloymentand a dynamic model of economic fluctuations.

The course focuses on underestanding foreing exchange rates. It studies the macroeconomic forces that determine exchange rates beginning with asset market approach. The course will be mostly devoted to discussions on exchange rate determination, and the relationships among inflation, (foreign/domestic) interest rates, and exchange rates. The rest of course will cover topics including foreign exchange regimes and relevant monetary/fiscal policies.

This course studies the role of financial markets and money in the ecomomy. It will focus on the sujects (1) how interest rtes are determined (2) the role of banking system in creating money (3) the monetary policy (4) current issues in financial markets around the world. The course will help student understand the interaction between the production (goods and service sector) and the financial market, as well as the role of monetary policy in modern economy.

This course provides an in-depth exploration of the economic theories and empirical methods used to analyze labor markets, focusing on topics such as individual decisions regarding working hours and human capital investment, the interaction between employment and the broader economy, government policies on employment and unemployment, and income inequality. In addition, as a region-focused course, it includes hands-on activities in which students collect, process, and interpret labor market indicators from different regions of Korea as well as from international labor markets. Through this process, the course aims to strengthen students’ abilities to understand and analyze real labor market phenomena using data-driven approaches.

경제가 발전함에 따라 정부의 역할은 줄어들지만 그렇다고 해서 정책의 중요성이 줄어드는 것은 아니다. 따라서 경제정책은 합리적인 의사결정을 하는데 더 중요하게 되었다. 그러나 경제문제를 해결하는데는 단순해 보이거나 추상적으로 보이는 이론을 바탕으로 해결안을 제시되기 때문에 이를 소홀히 여기는 경우가 있다. 따라서 본 강좌는 경제정책문제를 해결하는데 정책목표와 수단을 설정하고 경제이론이 소홀히 다루어질 수 있는 정책수단이 현실경제에 미치는 영향을 살펴본다.

The aim of this course is to appraise students of bases of economic policy. The course is concerned about creation and application of economic policy by central bank or government. The course enlarges economic knowledge acquired in courses of microeconomics and macroeconomics. Students should understand the meaning of economic policy measures and deduce their impact on economic subjects and entire economy.

이 강좌는 입지론과 생산요소 및 상품의 이동성을 연구하는 분야이다. 이 논지를 기반으로 하여 지역경제의 특성, 순환구조, 지역간 연관구조의 이해를 추구한다. 입지론은 산업입지, 상업입지, 공공시설입지 등을 연구하며, 부가가치 생산요소인 노동과 자본, 상품의 지역간 이동 및 억제요인을 분석한다.

This course studies location theory and the mobility of production factors and commodities. According to the themes, it pursues the understanding of regional economies, the circle of the economies, and the regional economic linkages. Locational theory includes manufacturing and wholesale and retail trade, and public facility. Mobility deals with the migration of capital, labor and goods and services.

법경제학은 법률을 경제학적으로 분석하는 학문 분야이다. 특히 계약법, 재산권법, 불법행위법, 형법 등의 경제적 분석을 주된 내용으로 하고, 법률의 기본적인 구조를 이해하기 위해 경제학적 분석 방법을 이용한다. 또한 법률이 보다 효율적인 법이 되기 위해서는 어떤 구조를 가져야 하는지에 대해서 논의한다.

본 과목은 투자전략을 수립할 수 있는 이론적 기초와 투자전략이 실제 금융시장에서 어떠한 결과를 보여주는 지를 배우는 강좌이다. 쉽게 학습할 수 있는 프로그래밍 언어, 특히 액셀의 활용에 집중하여 학습하고 더 나아가서는 엑셀 매크로와 비주얼베이직(Visual Basic for Application, VBA)에 대한 기본적인 학습을 병행한다. 엑셀의 프로그래밍을 활용하여 여러 가지 투자전략의 개념과 전략 수립, 검증에 관한 기본적인 내용들을 학습하게 된다.

이 강좌는 순수무역이론의 후속 강좌로 무역제한 조치들의 경제적 효과에 초점을 맞춘다. 각 국이 운영하는 전통적인 무역제한정책의 경제적 효과뿐만 아니라 최근 첨단산업에 대한 정부개입에 초점을 둔 전략적무역정책의 효과, 나아가 무역제한정책의 형성과정에 관한 정치경제 등 무역정책에 관한 전반적인 주제들을 학부수준에 맞춰 강의를 진행한다.

The course focuses on the economic effects of trade restrictions as a follow-up to the trade theory course. The economic effects of the traditional trade restriction policy as well as the effects of the strategic trade policy focusing on the recent government intervention in high-tech industries, and further political and economic topics on the formation of trade restriction policies, will be taught at the undergraduate level.

환경경제학은 시장경제체제 하에서 자연자원과 환경자원의 합리적 이용과 관리를 경제학적 원리로 다루는 경제학의 한 분야이다. 환경재는 제도적 측면에서 불완전한 재산권 설정을 이유로 그 이용과 생산에 있어서 외부성이 존재하게 된다. 이 외부성의 존재는 시장실패를 야기하므로 이를 교정하는 정책이 요구된다. 본 강좌에서는 이와 같은 학문의 특성을 이해하여 이론적 토대를 쌓고 이를 통해 현실적 응용력을 배양하게 된다. 이를 통해 학생은 경제학에서의 외부성 문제를 이론적으로 이해하고 이를 통한 현실적 환경경제학적 문제에 대한 해결 능력을 배양하게 된다.

In the course of environmental economics, we study the economic principles based on the rational use and management of natural resources and environmental resources under the market economy. It is an area of economics dealing with environmental goods that have externalities in their use and production because of incomplete property rights in institutional terms. The existence of this externality leads to market failures, so policies to correct them are required. This course will focus on understanding the characteristics of these disciplines, build a theoretical foundation, and develop practical applications. Through this, students can theoretically understand the externality problem in economics and develop the ability to solve realistic environmental economic problems through this.

The course aims to provide students with a grounding in the main areas of behavioral economics, by focusing on behavioral implications of theoretical models and on experimental evidence in economics. These main areas include bounded rationality, decision-making under risk and uncertainty, other regarding preferences, intertemporal decision-making, behavioral game theory, emotions and libertarian paternalism.

This course focuses on analyzing and systematically organizing recent developments in the field of finance and systematically combining the institutional, theoretical and empirical analyses of finance to provide a clear and consistent perspective on government spending and taxes. It also focuses on the latest financial studies and policy discussions from a Korean perspective and reality, and we will compare and analyze Korean and US fiscal and tax systems to identify the strengths and weaknesses of our fiscal and tax systems. The student will understand the basic theory of finance and apply it to the practical issues of public finance.

This course, as a regionally demand-driven subject, aims to strengthen the role and implementation capacity of the public sector in supporting regional growth and development by reflecting the characteristics and on-site conditions of local economies. Students analyze the key factors that define regional economies and, based on this analysis, learn about public sector budget management principles, region-specific project planning and feasibility assessment, project management, and post-implementation performance evaluation. In particular, through cases and data applicable to local contexts, the course ensures that economic theories are effectively integrated into regional practice.

This course introduces students to quantitative regression models required for quantitative data analysis on economic and financial topics. Specifically, it expands on the basis of the general classical regression model to study the application method used in the financial sector such as financial time series data. The ultimate goal of the curriculum is to understand the methods, processes and evaluation of empirical analysis of financial economics. This cource focuses on the application in terms of financial metrology and economics. Through this course, students will understand the theoretical background of empirical analysis that is needed in financial economics and develop the applicability to real financial data.

The course draws upon basic courses in mathematics and economics and could be viewed as an illustration of how basic concepts carry through to capital market. The course introduces a microeconomic approach to the analysis of health behavior and health care markets. The goal for this course is to understand individual health behaviors and government policies in health care market based on economic theory and discuss their characteristics.
